Sabah is a world renowned nature tourism destination, with many natural attractions in both terrestrial and marine environments.  Furthermore, many rare and unique species of plants and animals live within its borders.  There is a great potential for nature tourism, eco-tourism, and recreation within the SLMFR area. 

 

There shall be two types of tourism encouraged; just visiting and viewing the wetland area, and getting involved in the programmes that are running.  The latter shall include helping with the reforestation, surveying, and any other activity in progress at the SLMFR Area.
